Seven local artists have been invited by Anima to each fill a floor with works that not only exemplify their styles but also ignite your creativity. The works vary in tone, technique, subject, style, and medium, transforming every room into a reflection of each artist’s spirit, each as unique as a flickering flame. The original pieces provide insight into the heart of contemporary culture, provoking deep contemplation and stimulating the senses of one and all.
Art at Anima is not merely something to visit or look at, but a means to connect with yourself. Imagine your gaze catching a painting’s vibrant colors and frenzied details above the bed that forces you to pause and evaluate the energy overtaking you. Or waking up to the sight of a textured canvas, its grooves and streaks of color like the laugh lines on a loved one’s face, allowing you to feel a nostalgic peace. Each piece is as different as the unique responses it will evoke from your soul.
Where do you look first when you arrive in the lobby? Perhaps you glance at your itinerary or the receptionist. Maybe you keep an eye on the people you are traveling with or down on your phone. But why not look at the back wall where a large piece by Mark Vũ hangs? Do its incongruent panels and lines suggest an organic flow or exciting uncertainties ahead? Hoàng Nam Việt
What draws you to the first floor of ANIMA? Perhaps it is curiosity, or perhaps something quieter. In the presence of Hoang Nam Viet's paintings, emotions surface gently — love, memory, and the fragile tensions that exist between people. Through simplified portraits and subtle symbols, his works explore the delicate agreements between men and women, between reason and emotion. What do you see within them — a memory, a question, or something you cannot quite name? Let your anima guide you and discover the story for yourself.
Tuýp Trần
You can come to the second floor in search of questions or answers, and you wouldn’t be wrong either way. Will you find clarity or delightful new possibilities to explore? Each room’s painting comes from Tuýp Trần, a master of intricacies and the construction of narratives via meticulously rendred details. His mystical and evocative paintings at Anima invite you to fill in the specifics for the plots alluded to and create your own story.
Phạm Xeen
What does serenity look like? Is it found in the gentle sensitivity and the slow-shifting simplicity of the natural world? The third floor works by Phạm Xeen feature the shapes of trees, clouds, stones, cities and skies without fixed narrative or reductive explanation. You can decide where to place yourself within the gentle easing of shades and borders, and maybe there you can find a moment of peace.
Đặng Quang Tiến
Đặng Quang Tiến contributes the energy of his Mekong Delta homeland to the fourth floor. The fields and forests of Vietnam that transition into complex sites of humble agriculture and industry contain an incredible number of ducks. Are his dizzying flocks of colorful ducks, some of which purposefully stand out, a specifically Vietnamese sight that will speak to you of place? Does the playful tone and subject matter allude to some universal emotion? Is it possible to be upset around so many ducks?
Phi Long
What does it mean for a work to be centered somewhere? And is that place a geographic, cultural, or emotional one? Phi Long’s works on the fifth floor are small windows into this discussion. Effortlessly merging with their surroundings, they linger in the corner of your eye, asking you to look closer, think deeper, and ground yourself within their milieu.
Mzung Nguyễn
The sixth floor could be a place for somber reflection or optimistic action. Mzung Nguyễn, an interdisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses both filmmaking and the plastic arts, shares work here that combines textures, fabrics, colors, and states of impermanence. Given new life as artwork, what will be the impact of the salvaged industrial materials now that they have been unbound from their original context and freed from functionality?
Bách Vũ

On the 1st floor of ANIMA, artist Hoang Nam Viet @vietdinho presents a deeply embodied self-dialogue through the series `𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞` (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔).
A self-taught painter, tattoo artist, and entrepreneur, he distills raw materials from his life’s journey to expose his inner world on the white canvas. His characters appear fragile yet resilient, as if emerging from memory or an unfulfilled dream.
What exists within this dialogue between the feminine and the masculine, between the `covenants` of bliss and scars?

Uncertain, delicate - where light and form dissolve into one another.
For artist Phạm Xeen, that very question marked the beginning of a new creative journey.
Amid personal upheavals, he began to look at his art differently, stepping into his father’s world, where memories and images intertwine, fragile and disordered, suspended between reality and dream.
He took off his glasses and observed with bare eyes, letting colors and light merge freely, blurring the boundaries between brightness and shadow.
Within the third floor of ANIMA, his works unfold like doorways into the inner self - inviting viewers to listen, to feel, and to find serenity within the shifting shades of emotion.
