Our inspiration

Each Artist Hideaway Room transforms based on the vision of the floor’s featured artist. Whether bathed in quiet minimalism or layered with bold textures, the room is a canvas for personal reflection and artistic immersion. When booking, you may request your preferred floor’s artistic style.

Dang Quang Tien

Having grown up in the Mekong Delta region, the artist Dang Quang Tien (born 1992) uniquely captures the spirit of Vietnam today, where traditional modes of life still persist amid the breakneck rush towards modernisation.

Tuyp Tran

Born in 1988, Tuyp Tran is well-renowned within the Vietnamese creative scene, having previously run his own design business in Ho Chi Minh City before becoming a full time artist a decade ago. Tuyp’s works at Anima are drawn from two separate series: Once Upon A Time and Lột Xác (i.e. “Shedding Skin”).

Phạm Xeen

Phạm Xeen (1994), who paints without glasses—reimagining the blurred vision his father lived with after a stroke. Clarity dissolves, emotion remains. His clouds drift like unspoken thoughts, his stones settle like quiet surrender, his trees stretch like longing.

Each Artist Room is a quiet invitation into an artist’s inner world. Each floor is curated by a contemporary Vietnamese artist. Their artworks, materials, and moods give each room a distinct emotional tone so no two Artist Rooms feel the same.

Each room type has a different layout and light condition. Some rooms offer city views and abundant daylight, while others are more inward-facing, designed as cozy retreats. Please refer to the room descriptions or ask our team for personalized recommendations.
