Tuyp Tran

Born in 1988, Tuyp Tran is well-renowned within the Vietnamese creative scene, having previously run his own design business in Ho Chi Minh City before becoming a full time artist a decade ago. The Once Upon A Time series is heavily influenced by the buddhist visual rhetoric, such as mandalas in particular (mesmerizing geometric compositions intended to induct spiritual practitioners into a meditative mental state) as well as spiritually-focused Tibetan thangka paintings more generally.

Mzung Nguyen

Mzung Nguyen (born 1982) has in recent years developed a visual art practice spanning sculpture, painting, collage and installation. Her works in the Anima Collection are all drawn from the series Đông Hải (“The East Sea”), featuring reconstituted newspaper and dead coral fragments mounted upon beds of steel mesh used in construction, creating works that fall somewhere in between painting and sculpture while referencing both human architecture and the natural ‘architecture’ of coral reefs.

Each Artist Room is a quiet invitation into an artist’s inner world. Each floor is curated by a contemporary Vietnamese artist. Their artworks, materials, and moods give each room a distinct emotional tone so no two Artist Rooms feel the same.

Each room type has a different layout and light condition. Some rooms offer city views and abundant daylight, while others are more inward-facing, designed as cozy retreats. Please refer to the room descriptions or ask our team for personalized recommendations.
