Meet the Artist: Phạm Xeen — Spatial Poetry on Floor 3 at ANIMA
On Floor 3 of ANIMA — Vietnamese Contemporary Art Boutique Hotel, visual artist Phạm Xeen invites guests into an atmospheric realm of gentle light, subtle nostalgia, and poetic reflection.
Recognized for his delicate, filmic visual sensibility, Phạm Xeen explores how personal memory intertwines with urban transformation. For ANIMA, he curated Floor 3 as a quiet sanctuary where travelers can recalibrate their thoughts after traversing the sensory tapestry of District 1.
Curatorial Narrative: The Poetry of Transience
Phạm Xeen’s artistic voice on Floor 3 is grounded in understatement. Instead of bold visual confrontation, his pieces evoke quiet reverie — capturing fleeting shadows, soft atmospheric gradients, and forgotten architectural details of old Saigon re-imagined for the contemporary eye.
Corridor lighting on Floor 3 is specifically calibrated to highlight the subtle tonal nuances of his mixed-media works. Inside the guest rooms, art pieces sit in harmonious balance with minimalist concrete, polished terrazzo, and warm timber furniture.
